Community and Values

Thank you for choosing to be a part of our community. By living with mutual respect, accountability, and compassion, we create a home where everyone can grow. The standards that follow set clear expectations so we can support one another and keep the house safe.

  • Substance‑free living No alcohol, illegal drugs, or misused prescriptions on or off the property. If you’re unsure about a product (like CBD or cough syrup), just ask a house lead.

If a slip happens Safety first—no shame. Let a house lead know as soon as possible so we can support you with next steps, which may include a support plan, added structure, or a referral for detox if needed.

  • Testing We use drug/alcohol testing to help keep the home safe. We’ll explain when testing may occur, how samples are handled, and how results are shared. Refusing or tampering is treated like a positive test.

  • Guests & visitation Friends and family are welcome during posted hours in shared spaces. No guests in bedrooms. No overnight guests. Please check in with the house lead before hosting a group.

  • Curfew & quiet hours Curfew is 10 pm Sun–Thu and 12 am Fri–Sat unless approved in advance. Quiet hours start 30 minutes after curfew so everyone can rest.

  • Shared spaces & chores We keep the house clean because we share it. Everyone has weekly chores, and we rotate. If you fall behind, just let us know—we’ll figure it out together.

  • Bedrooms Keep rooms tidy, food in the kitchen only, and respect your roommate’s sleep, study, and privacy needs.

  • Respect Kindness is our baseline. We don’t tolerate bullying, harassment, hate speech, or threats. Differences are respected here.

  • Privacy & confidentiality What’s shared in the home stays in the home. Don’t post about others or share their recovery status without permission.

  • Technology & social media Be mindful in shared spaces. No recording or photographing others without consent. Keep volume low, especially during quiet hours.

  • Smoking & vaping Allowed in designated areas. Please clean up and never smoke indoors.

  • Safety Keep exits clear and follow fire safety rules. No candles or space heaters without approval. Weapons of any kind are not allowed.

  • Parking & transportation Park in designated areas and keep driveways/fire lanes clear. Be considerate of neighbors and noise.

  • Recovery engagement Attend at least 1 recovery activity per week (12‑step, SMART, Refuge, therapy/counseling, Church, faith‑based, etc.). Weekly house meetings are required.

  • Work, school & daily structure Within two weeks of move‑in, have a structured day plan (work, school, treatment, volunteering, or job search). We’re happy to help with resources.

  • Finances Rent is due on the 1st and late after the 5th. If something comes up, talk to us early—we’ll work on a plan where possible. We are happy to accommodate those that prefer to pay weekly. Just ask for details.

  • Conflicts & grievances Start with a respectful conversation. If that’s tough, ask for a mediated check‑in. You can submit a written concern without fear of retaliation.

  • Graduated responses to concerns We use clear and consistent steps—coaching, written agreements, increased supports, temporary added structure, or discharge only when necessary to protect the home.

  • Emergencies In a medical or safety emergency, call 911 first, then notify the house lead.

  • Move‑out & alumni Please give 14 days’ notice when possible. Alumni are welcome at open meetings and events.
